From April 8 to April 10, 2026, the 2026 Spring Conference and International Symposium of the Korean Society for Biotechnology and Bioengineering was held at the Yeosu Expo, aiming to share the latest research advances in biotechnology and promote academic exchange among researchers. At this conference, a total of 457 poster presentations were presented from both domestic and international researchers, among which 24 outstanding works were selected as award-winning posters, including grand prizes, best paper awards, and excellence awards.

Ji Yeon Sim presented a poster titled “Self-assembled Virus-like Particle-Based KillerRed Protein Delivery for Enhanced Cancer Photodynamic Therapy” and was awarded the Excellent Poster Presentation Award at the 2026 Korean Society for Biotechnology and Bioengineering (Poster Session) in recognition of the quality and significance of her research.
